The ‘70s Trends to Rock This Year

The ‘70s era remains a hugely popular one in the world of fashion with many of the trends still popular today, and millions of people wearing whether they realize it or not. You need to only look at recent seasons and see the number of runways that have featured boho blouses, over the-the-knee boots, and iconic ‘70s fabrics like corduroy and velvet.

Some of today’s biggest designers and wholesale womens clothing manufactures made their name in the iconic era that was the ‘70s including the likes of Diane von Furstenberg, Karl Lagerfeld, and Yves Saint Laurent. Not only were some of today’s most sought after designers born out of this era, but some of the fashion icons that we still covet today rose to fame during the decade too. The likes of Bianca Jagger, Debbie Harry, and Grace Jones are still providing the women of today with style inspiration reminiscent of Studio 54. Of course, the glitz and the glam isn’t the only thing the decade gave us. The likes of Jane Birkin and Diane Keaton gave us the boho, hippie-chick cool that’s perfect to this day for those of us who love a casual vibe.

Pearls

Forget what you think about pearls, this isn’t your nan’s double row pearl necklace or some dated brooch. This sought after accessory and jewellery item manages to make its mark on any decade thanks to designers like Chanel, but was particularly iconic in the ‘70s. Today, it is still the perfect accessory to evening wear but you can find it on a much wider range of accessories and even clothing items from jacket trimmings to hairbands.

Monochrome Outfits

Monochrome outfits, or tonal dressing as it is known in fashion circles, really kicked with the warm orange and camel hues that exploded onto the fashion scene thanks to icons like Grace Jones. The striking effect of this look lies in this simplicity, allowing you to put together even the most budget pieces in your wardrobe for a high-end finish.

Headscarves

Eternal style queen Jackie O has given fashion lovers several trends to fawn over from her iconic pink Chanel suit to her trademark white sunglasses. Along with these trademark fashion choices was her love of headscarves. With the summer sun not beating down on us, there’s no better time to get on board with this trend and rock a stylish headscarf. Peplum

Peplum will make a splash as one of the biggest fashion trends of 2020. in 2020s, the designers showed peplum tops on the runways, from the Alexander McQueen to the row. This style has dominated the early 2010s before apparently going into hibernation.

But Guess what! The fashion trend of Peplum tops ha given it’s grand entrance in 2019s and still are in demand among fashion beauties and it started to remerge in 2020s fashion.
