Construction is traditionally a labour-intensive industry, with heavy reliance on manpower for each and every task, starting from labour work to management. However, in such a system, transparency is no less than a myth as there exists a huge gap between the workers and the top management. Here, the top management have to extensively rely on Project Engineers or Field Engineers to stroll around the worksite. Similarly, the Project Engineers or Field Engineers have to visit the jobsites to-and-fro, take images of the project progress, perform specific calculations, mark down the estimated per cent of task completion and then manually report these observations and calculations into the paper or Excel sheets and produce it before the person in charge. In such a system, each level of the workforce has to rely on the other to know about the happenings in the jobsite.
